IGR
Enterprises, Inc. specializes in the development of
unique products and technologies based on its
proprietary flexible, ductile ceramic-metal
composite materials. These products and
technologies include oxygen generators, fuel-cell
power generators, and air-pollution control
devices.
IGR
was founded in 1985 and its principal office of
business and laboratory located in Beachwood, Ohio.
IGR presently has 11 employees on its staff, 7 of
whom are full-time researchers, and 3 of whom hold
advanced degrees in science/engineering. In
addition, the company draws on the expertise of
several consultants for the thermal, electronics,
and control-systems design of its
devices.
IGR
is housed in 4000 sq.ft. of office and laboratory
space. The laboratory is equipped with facilities
for powder processing, ceramic composite
fabrication, prototype device assembly and
electrochemical testing.
IGR's
outstanding work was recognized in 1997 when
IGR was awarded the prestigious Excellence
Award from the Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency (DARPA) for contractors with
500 or fewer employees. The competition for this
award is fierce among smaller high-technology firms
worldwide. IGR was judged by DARPA to be the most
excellent.
